[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_00]: We started podcasting because of podcasters. So today we're going to be talking about some of the podcasts that we like and listen to and follow,
[00:00:11] [SPEAKER_00]: and we're going to give it rundown on yours and my awesome. It's basically what we're calling a top 3 episode.
[00:00:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to the podcast dedicated to real estate insurance and building your business.
[00:00:30] [SPEAKER_02]: Join us as we take you along our own business building journeys with additional wisdom from our network of local and national experts.
[00:00:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to Bricks and Risk.
[00:00:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Hey everyone, welcome to another episode of Bricks and Risk.
[00:00:51] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm Timmy G and I'm Sean Mooney.
[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_02]: You're supposed to say Sean P.
[00:00:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh Sean P, yeah, what's it, dude? Hey folks, I'm Sean P.
[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_02]: And today, before we get started, right? We're going to read another review.
[00:01:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I thought we were going to go to the live call line and I'll prep the audience.
[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_02]: They don't make fun of you in this one. All right. This is an actual nice review.
[00:01:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, an actual nice reviewer.
[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_02]: An actual nice one.
[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_02]: All right. So this comes from MBB3286.
[00:01:25] [SPEAKER_02]: And it reads, great listen to these guys do a great job being entertained and learning some things along the way.
[00:01:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Giving it two thumbs up.
[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, MBB3286.
[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_02]: We greatly appreciate you taking the time to not only write us but write something nice.
[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_00]: I love the mysteriousness of our reviewers.
[00:01:46] [SPEAKER_00]: I like it, too. That sounds right there, name. Oh, this is Bill Smith.
[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_00]: I could be sitting next to them at a bar and I would have no idea that they are MBB3636.
[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_02]: It's true. You wouldn't know. And if you did know, you'd probably buy them a citywide special when you, you'd be wearing a shadow whiskey.
[00:02:08] [SPEAKER_00]: If they didn't have natural light on tap, they would probably get a city.
[00:02:12] [SPEAKER_00]: You guys didn't know that. That's a silly thing.
[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_00]: All right.
[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_00]: What are we getting into today? Today, we are going to be talking about a topic that is near and dear.
[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. We started podcasting because of podcasters.
[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_00]: So today, we're going to be talking about some of the podcasts that we like and listen to and follow.
[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to give it rundown on yours and my awesome.
[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_02]: It's basically what we're calling a top three episode.
[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. And it actually reminds me of an episode of sign-fog with Cramer, where he came up with the idea of a coffee table book about coffee tables.
[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Cramer did. Cramer did.
[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_02]: And I know you're not as big a sign-fog.
[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_00]: I am. It's like my number one show of all time.
[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, out of here.
[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_02]: So you know that one.
[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_02]: I do.
[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_02]: We're going to read just in Kathy Lee and he spits out the coffee and makes this whole scene.
[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. Cool.
[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_02]: So we're going to start with a podcast.
[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_02]: But we are doing a podcast about podcasts, as you said.
[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_02]: So let's start with my number one.
[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_02]: My number one favorite podcast that I listened to and before I say it, let me just...
[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Should we start with three?
[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Or were just going to go one.
[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Let's start with three.
[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I like that. I like that move.
[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I like the build up.
[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_02]: What I will say is that when I listen to podcasts myself, I'm not really listening to like,
[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not an audio book guy or fiction or sports podcast.
[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_02]: I love all our comedy like I love all that stuff.
[00:03:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Like words.
[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, no reading.
[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't.
[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_02]: But I spend a lot of my listening time listening to real estate focus podcast.
[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Probably the main reason is I want to get better.
[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_02]: And that's why I spend my time doing that.
[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_02]: So my number three coming in hot number three for Tim
[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_02]: is knowledge brokers from Bam.
[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_02]: So if you're unfamiliar with knowledge brokers, it's hosted by Byron Lizzine, Tom Tool
[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_02]: and Lisa Chinati.
[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Byron Lizzine is a Connecticut agent but now has roots in Florida.
[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Tom Tools, a Philadelphia guy and Lisa Chinati is a Boston girl, which is pretty cool.
[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_02]: So three different markets, most of them have roots in the Northeast.
[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_02]: What I love about knowledge brokers is they're really teaching productive agents.
[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_02]: How to get better and how to increase their volume.
[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_02]: And most of what they touch upon, these guys are great because they're very focused on statistics.
[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_02]: They'll talk a lot about what's going on in the world every week.
[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_02]: They'll talk about housing stats.
[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_02]: They'll talk about politics.
[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, they'll talk about the NAR settlement that's going on.
[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_02]: They'll talk about their predictions for certain things.
[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Which, again, if they were just like kind of like prognostic hairs,
[00:04:55] [SPEAKER_02]: let's call them.
[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_02]: You're not going to put a ton of stock in that because they're just like putting out their opinion,
[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_02]: but they're not boots on the ground.
[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_02]: What I love about knowledge brokers is these guys are all boots on the ground.
[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_02]: They're literally run teams in their respective markets.
[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_02]: They're all highly productive agents.
[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_02]: They've all been in the industry for a good amount of time.
[00:05:15] [SPEAKER_02]: So that when they're when they're sharing knowledge, when they're sharing stats,
[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_02]: and they're actually providing advice on what they think people should be doing right now.
[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Because it's more of a trendy podcast.
[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_02]: It's talking about where our things today and they do it once a week.
[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_02]: I like that they're actually out there doing what I'm doing every day,
[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_02]: and it makes it more credible.
[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_02]: It might be.
[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's not the marketing person that's telling you how to do realistic.
[00:05:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and that can be valuable too.
[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_02]: But, and some people, like it's interesting,
[00:05:51] [SPEAKER_02]: I find that the reason we're going to go over three is we're all different.
[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_02]: And some people like stats and numbers, some people like more of that gut opinion,
[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_02]: the approach, the relationship, whatever it is.
[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_02]: And this one I like more for like staying on trend, letting me know
[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_02]: and everyone else who listens to what's going on in the market today.
[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it hasn't placed us.
[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_00]: You know?
[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that these guys by what you're saying,
[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_00]: it's like, if been through the trenches, they're doing what I'm doing
[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_00]: and they're giving, you know, real life tips on how to be successful.
[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_00]: I like Tom's jackets the best.
[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he does that play.
[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_00]: He just is up.
[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Just like stripes.
[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_02]: He does button down.
[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_02]: He does jackets.
[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_02]: He's like right, patrucci.
[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Same thing.
[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Those guys are blazers and button downs.
[00:06:38] [SPEAKER_02]: And you and I like like we're going fishing.
[00:06:40] [SPEAKER_02]: We just I've been told.
[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_02]: We are going fishing at a, that is true.
[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_02]: 30 minutes.
[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm fishing right after this.
[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_02]: So we're dressed directly.
[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_02]: What about you?
[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_02]: What's your number three?
[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Number three.
[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Coming at number three is the 80 podcast with a gentleman Brad Bolt.
[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_00]: How'd you get in that one?
[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think it was just surfing the podcast channels and
[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_00]: trip to cross them.
[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_00]: And what I kind of really like is that Brad is a lot like what you
[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_00]: just said.
[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_00]: It's an agency owner.
[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_00]: And he talks about what he's dealing with day to day and the guests that
[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_00]: he has on are industry guests and some are agency owners, some are like
[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_00]: technology platform businesses that run the technology behind some of this stuff.
[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_00]: So for me, it's really just a good listen to from a guy that's doing day to day
[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_00]: that's built an agency and has on guests that really you can really get
[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_00]: a fact.
[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Is he because I've never listened to it?
[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Is he kind of like us where he's doing episodes where either like he's just
[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_02]: talking or teaching something and then does episodes with guests or they all with guests?
[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a guest only podcast.
[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.
[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that I've ever seen him.
[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I could be wrong.
[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Do anything where it's just him shooting.
[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Which I think is hard to do.
[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_00]: You can certainly.
[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_00]: If you're by our side.
[00:08:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Just single.
[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_02]: It's harder.
[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, remember, we get back to the story of why we started this podcast.
[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_02]: It's like you and I were talking about it.
[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_02]: We were both interested in it.
[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_02]: And we both at least, all that we were kind of full enough.
[00:08:38] [SPEAKER_02]: It's still to be seen.
[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Up in the air.
[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_00]: It'll be seen.
[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Once we hit 50, then we'll know for sure.
[00:08:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Then we're getting crazy.
[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_02]: But I think yeah, I would agree if you're so low and you're just talking, you know,
[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_02]: through a 20, 30, 45 minute long episode by yourself.
[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a little bit harder.
[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_02]: But that's cool.
[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_02]: So I like that.
[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_02]: So my number two, again, real estate focus podcast for me is called the Reconamy
[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_02]: podcast.
[00:09:09] [SPEAKER_02]: It's hosted by Mark Fleming, a dedicated Kushi and Zander Snyder.
[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_02]: The reason I love this podcast, first of all, is completely different than knowledge brokers.
[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_02]: The host of this show are more economists.
[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_02]: So not only that, they come from the title insurance industry.
[00:09:33] [SPEAKER_00]: You're really kind of you're tied in, but you're really getting a different perspective
[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_00]: from that.
[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_02]: I love it because I want to say they stick more to, I don't want to put it as like the nerdy facts.
[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_02]: But again, when you geek out on something, if you're like into the numbers, you're into data,
[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_02]: you're into like stats, like it comes across.
[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_02]: These guys are really into the stats.
[00:09:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Not only that, they talk about residential real estate, talk about commercial real estate,
[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_02]: multifamily.
[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_02]: They, you know, have an episode.
[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Hey, it's an election year.
[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Do election years have any impact on the real estate market?
[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's go through the last 50 elections.
[00:10:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Did they have any impact?
[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, it's awesome that they literally go through all the stuff that can affect
[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_02]: real estate.
[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Because again, title insurance is a real estate is a real estate product, whether it's residential
[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_02]: commercial.
[00:10:30] [SPEAKER_02]: And the reason someone will get title insurance, why don't you have a mortgage?
[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_02]: You need to get it.
[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_02]: The lender won't give you a mortgage without it.
[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_02]: But even if you were paying cash for a property, you want to get title insurance because
[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_02]: you want to make sure the chain of title is clean and that anyone who was on this property
[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_02]: back to the land before it was even a house that it's changed hands properly each time
[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_02]: the property is moved.
[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_02]: And for whatever reason it hasn't, you bought a house and someone came knocking on your door
[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_02]: like a year later and said, yo, Tim, this isn't your place.
[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_02]: This is my place, my great grandfather built it.
[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_02]: And it's mine.
[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, even if that happened, the title company and title insurance covers you.
[00:11:14] [SPEAKER_02]: And they are the ones who go fight that and court for you, which is why you get it.
[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_02]: So it's one time thing.
[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Kind of important.
[00:11:20] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't have important.
[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_02]: But I will say title insurance is not cheap.
[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_02]: And when people buy houses, even when they re-file sometimes, they're like, why don't
[00:11:27] [SPEAKER_02]: eat this?
[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_02]: And I explain it that way.
[00:11:29] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what I mean.
[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_02]: One if you have a mortgage, you have to get it.
[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_02]: It's like a praisel.
[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know any in a praisel.
[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, the lender needs to know what someone thinks is property is worth in someone who's
[00:11:40] license.
[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_02]: So I like that.
[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_02]: It's really, it's the experts talking about the US economy and they tie it all into real estate
[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_02]: stats.
[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_02]: What's going on?
[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_02]: What's hot?
[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_02]: What's not where the risks are?
[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, it's great.
[00:11:56] [SPEAKER_02]: It's every week.
[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Love that one.
[00:11:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Hey everyone.
[00:12:00] [SPEAKER_02]: This is Tim.
[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Your favorite bricks and risk co-hosts.
[00:12:04] [SPEAKER_02]: But don't tell Sean.
[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_02]: I hope you're enjoying this episode.
[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_02]: And I'll get right back to it in a moment.
[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Our audience grows to a word of mouth.
[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_02]: So if you would please take a moment of your time and give us a review on the platform
[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_02]: you're on, that would be fantastic.
[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Please also help spread the B&R word by sharing your favorite episode with a friend.
[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_02]: We greatly appreciate your time and trust.
[00:12:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Now back to the show.
[00:12:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's your number doos.
[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Numerado dooso is the scratch agency podcast.
[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_00]: With a host.
[00:12:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Steve Turnbull and Sean Fitzgerald.
[00:12:47] [SPEAKER_00]: This is again to agency owners.
[00:12:51] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a duo.
[00:12:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Why I love this show is it's two guys who recently started their agency.
[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, so they have two separate agencies.
[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:13:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Gotcha.
[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_00]: So they recently started their agency from scratch.
[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_00]: How long ago?
[00:13:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Within like I want to say I could be wrong.
[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe like a year or two ago.
[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_02]: It started.
[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Like two years ago maybe I think in the pen and shops like you.
[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_02]: So they started independent shops in the last one to two years.
[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_02]: And they came out swinging with a partner.
[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Steve's been longer.
[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_00]: I think I'm pretty sure Sean is like.
[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Really new.
[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_00]: That's awesome.
[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you must get a lot of that.
[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a ton.
[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_00]: So it's I like your you're seeing it.
[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, like I did it.
[00:13:39] [SPEAKER_00]: I did it from scratch.
[00:13:41] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, all of this steps along the way and it's like these guys now talking about like some of the same stuff that I went through.
[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Are you like picking things out where they like say something you're like, yo.
[00:13:54] [SPEAKER_02]: In there.
[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_02]: If you just called into bricks and risk could have solved this for you.
[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Live on the podcast.
[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe we'll do that.
[00:14:04] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we will set that up.
[00:14:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that'd be pretty sweet even Sean.
[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Got lots of ideas.
[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_00]: But it's it's really good.
[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_00]: They do a great job.
[00:14:13] [SPEAKER_00]: They've got a lot of great guests that they bring in agency owners.
[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_00]: It kind of same as.
[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Some of the other podcasts.
[00:14:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And I was looking because I was trying to get like a list and kind of like see who.
[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_00]: I was looking at a search and there's like.
[00:14:29] [SPEAKER_00]: I want to say hundreds of insurance podcasts hundreds.
[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, where were you looking at?
[00:14:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, an apple.
[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_00]: I was looking in Amazon.
[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
[00:14:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Um, just to kind of like see what's out there.
[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_02]: I've looked in Spotify but when you search on your phone on Spotify it's kind of spotty like it all also just pull up like episodes.
[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_02]: So it's not like a true list.
[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm a zombie.
[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm a zombie too.
[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Amazon does give you the rundown for like category.
[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_00]: It'll tell you.
[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, every podcast.
[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's like the insurance now there's some that, you know, we're up three years ago that aren't doing it.
[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_00]: So you got to kind of like what I just wanted to see like.
[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_00]: What pod because I've listened to a lot of insurance podcasts.
[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Um, so I was kind of going through to see like who's out there and who's still doing it and who have I listened to you know to kind of see.
[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Um, that's cool.
[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_00]: That's a good idea.
[00:15:25] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll do that.
[00:15:26] [SPEAKER_00]: But these guys are they're young.
[00:15:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Um, they're great on a kind of give you behind the scenes of like what the that agent who's starting out and going through.
[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Um, and kind of they've hooked into a lot of people that have helped them, you know, and I think they've actually teamed up with another company that does like back office virtual employee services.
[00:15:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Like a VA company.
[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.
[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_02]: That handles like specifically insurance question, would what market or markets are these guys?
[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, I'm guessing from do you know?
[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I think they're both from New York.
[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, nice.
[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_00]: That's cool.
[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_00]: We got accents like we do.
[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_00]: State of New York.
[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Um, they're not like New York.
[00:16:12] [SPEAKER_00]: I think like coffee.
[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_00]: No, no, can a cup of coffee or something that's made out of chocolate?
[00:16:17] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they're like that.
[00:16:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Um, they're like I think upstate.
[00:16:21] [SPEAKER_00]: I can once buffalo and maybe one like outside of Albany.
[00:16:26] [SPEAKER_00]: And then it comes to somewhere like yell.
[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, what are we're roof?
[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Not roof.
[00:16:34] Rick.
[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_00]: But a great show if you're new into insurance.
[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a great listen and highly recommend.
[00:16:42] [SPEAKER_00]: You know what's an interesting one.
[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_02]: I think that's an interesting one.
[00:16:48] [SPEAKER_02]: And then we're going to talk about the South Eastern most state in the US.
[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Some people say,
[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Florida.
[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_02]: When you're from the Northeast, what do we say?
[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Florida.
[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Wait, what did you say?
[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Florida.
[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_02]: And my wife Maria would say Florida because she's from.
[00:17:10] [SPEAKER_02]: He would also say Colorado.
[00:17:13] [SPEAKER_02]: What do we say?
[00:17:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Colorado.
[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_02]: And Nevada.
[00:17:18] [SPEAKER_02]: That's a max.
[00:17:19] [SPEAKER_02]: That's shit right there.
[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_00]: That's, you know, we can do a different episode on an
[00:17:23] [SPEAKER_00]: accents like far ahead.
[00:17:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Like I heard my far head.
[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_02]: But I don't say far arm.
[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_02]: I say forearm.
[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_02]: That's a weird one.
[00:17:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Why do you park in the driveway and drive on the parkway?
[00:17:35] [SPEAKER_02]: I like that.
[00:17:38] [SPEAKER_00]: All right.
[00:17:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Let's do it.
[00:17:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Pack on the scene.
[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Number one.
[00:17:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Dylan Drumroll.
[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Please.
[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Dylan.
[00:17:46] [SPEAKER_02]: We need to hear it in the mic.
[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_02]: So serious music skills.
[00:17:54] [SPEAKER_02]: You guys didn't know that.
[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Here's a musician.
[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Not a mystery for talent.
[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Not a magician.
[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Number one.
[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Stay paid.
[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_02]: My boy's Luke A.Cree and Josh Stike.
[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_02]: I've been listening to the state page.
[00:18:07] [SPEAKER_02]: One of the first podcasts I ever started listening to.
[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_02]: So it's probably been about three to four years.
[00:18:13] [SPEAKER_02]: I've been listening to these guys.
[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_00]: You turn me on to them.
[00:18:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I love this show.
[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:18:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Luke's our friend.
[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I have a met Josh.
[00:18:19] [SPEAKER_02]: I've been looking forward to meet you one day.
[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_02]: The reason stay paid for me just became a podcast like a staple in my weekly routine was
[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_02]: because one I love that they're based in the area throughout in Valley Forge, King of
[00:18:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Prussia area.
[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_02]: So they're in the affiliate market.
[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_02]: But two, they would always talk about sales and marketing tactics.
[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_02]: So while it's got a real estate flavor, it's got an insurance flavor like financial planners.
[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Like a lot of these people they targeted with their product which is a magazine that you
[00:18:56] [SPEAKER_02]: sent up to clients.
[00:18:57] [SPEAKER_02]: I use that magazine.
[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_02]: It's phenomenal from reminder media.
[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_02]: But I love that they're just talking about sales, marketing tactics for people in business
[00:19:08] [SPEAKER_02]: and in sales.
[00:19:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Because again, it's nice to get real estate knowledge.
[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Like if I listen to knowledge brokers, for example, I'm getting a lot of real estate specific
[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_02]: knowledge.
[00:19:20] [SPEAKER_02]: And that's fantastic.
[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_02]: But it's super niche.
[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Like it's only focused on what I do.
[00:19:25] [SPEAKER_02]: When I listen to stay paid, I'm getting a lot of business knowledge.
[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Not only that, they just change their format recently.
[00:19:33] [SPEAKER_02]: But they get a lot of guests on which they still have that are in all different industries.
[00:19:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Like people in real estate, people in insurance, people in financial planning, people
[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_02]: do like health benefits.
[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Like they've had all sorts of people on that are just fantastic at what they do.
[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_02]: You're getting all these different tips and tricks from them.
[00:19:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Hey, this is how I do my Instagram or hey, this is how I do my monthly newsletter
[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_02]: or you know, Garrett Maroon was on the other day and they've interviewed him before he's
[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_02]: a relationship guy like you and I.
[00:20:02] [SPEAKER_02]: I want to get you on Garrett.
[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_02]: And he just, the guests they get are just such a wide variety.
[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Plus what's also great about stay paid is Luke talks about a lot.
[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_02]: He's very focused on relationships.
[00:20:18] [SPEAKER_02]: He thinks relationships drive business has to us.
[00:20:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but he does talk a lot about a cold calling about they do they do postcards ever
[00:20:29] [SPEAKER_02]: might have postcard services.
[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_02]: They can do Facebook ads.
[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_02]: They do agent coaching.
[00:20:34] [SPEAKER_02]: They do all sorts of different things.
[00:20:36] [SPEAKER_02]: But I love that the main focus is on relationships and their flagship product, the magazine
[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_02]: focuses on that.
[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_00]: And I've listened to them too and I really enjoy the tactical approach that they bring
[00:20:52] [SPEAKER_00]: to helping businesses grow.
[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right?
[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they have their products.
[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_00]: They do their services.
[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_00]: But really what I find most valuable is I mean, they just lay out.
[00:21:06] [SPEAKER_00]: And you know, like, hey, we're going to talk about this today.
[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_00]: And here's what you want to do.
[00:21:10] [SPEAKER_00]: And it's like an XYZ approach.
[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_00]: They do a lot of like step-by-step.
[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:21:15] [SPEAKER_02]: They ask questions like, the can you just like, okay, you do client events?
[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Can you talk about your last client event?
[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_02]: And tell us like how you did it like who was there, how much did it cost?
[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Like did you have sponsors?
[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_00]: And they do amazing stuff like that which is great.
[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's where listeners could get a ton of value.
[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's almost like you could charge for that information.
[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_00]: My podcast is so valuable.
[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_00]: And so I think it's just a great lesson and you can learn so much.
[00:21:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Fantastic.
[00:21:48] [SPEAKER_02]: All right, man.
[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Get another drum roll for NUMBER.
[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Mr. Mooney over here.
[00:21:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Number one.
[00:21:55] [SPEAKER_02]: M-O-O-N-E-E.
[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Got it.
[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_00]: If only if you're on Instagram.
[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_00]: We don't only know that if your bizarre book keep going.
[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, sound it out.
[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Right?
[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_00]: But not likely speaking.
[00:22:13] [SPEAKER_00]: You're God.
[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Number one.
[00:22:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Listen for insurance.
[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Insurance.
[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Guys.
[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, our boy Bradley.
[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Bradley from ours.
[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_00]: What's up Bradley?
[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_02]: God help.
[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_02]: And I haven't met you yet, Scott, but I look forward to meeting you one day.
[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Scott's...
[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_02]: He's a character.
[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_02]: He's a character.
[00:22:35] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they're both characters.
[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Kind of like us.
[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_02]: But I love...
[00:22:40] [SPEAKER_02]: And I listen to that.
[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Bradley on.
[00:22:42] [SPEAKER_02]: He's great.
[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:22:44] [SPEAKER_02]: I love that.
[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_02]: I love the Southern...
[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_00]: The Alabama.
[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so the other ones are two from New York and these are two from Alabama.
[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Two agency owners.
[00:22:54] [SPEAKER_00]: I love if you've been listening to them.
[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_00]: I think from the beginning.
[00:22:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Like five years?
[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_00]: So you've been the Southern podcast for quite a while?
[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you, New York.
[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_00]: And their story was actually...
[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if you think about it, it was kind of similar.
[00:23:09] [SPEAKER_00]: I think Scott...
[00:23:11] [SPEAKER_00]: I think Bradley was on maybe like...
[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Twitter or Instagram or some.
[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_00]: And I think Scott hit him up.
[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_00]: They don't know each other.
[00:23:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:23:19] [SPEAKER_00]: And they're like, yo, let's meet up.
[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_00]: And like, just had this idea that they created this podcast.
[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_00]: And it's like a million downloads later.
[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_00]: And they're like 300 plus episodes.
[00:23:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Thought like that?
[00:23:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Awesome.
[00:23:34] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, and so...
[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Just I've been listening to them for the longest period of time, I guess.
[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_00]: And they just deliver.
[00:23:42] [SPEAKER_00]: And recently, I was going back on one of the episodes.
[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_00]: They literally interviewed Gary Vee in Gary Vee's office.
[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:23:51] [SPEAKER_02]: That's all.
[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_02]: That's all.
[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_02]: I'll start moving right there.
[00:23:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:23:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Very cool.
[00:23:54] [SPEAKER_00]: They went up to New York.
[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_00]: They were in New York, like shooting live in his...
[00:23:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_00]: They're like, yo, Gary.
[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to come to you.
[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to set up.
[00:24:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_00]: We should have gone Bradley the best.
[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I guess that one.
[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I haven't listened to that.
[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_00]: They listened to the backstory of how it all came to be.
[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh.
[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_00]: But a great show, a great listen.
[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_00]: All things insurance with a Southern flair for sure.
[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_00]: They talked about tactics.
[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_00]: And they're guests on our great.
[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, it's two guys that really shoot it straight.
[00:24:26] [SPEAKER_00]: And when they have a guest on, it's not like a sugar coated.
[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_02]: It's not this polished, you know, like, let's say this.
[00:24:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's say that, like, let's just chat.
[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's get some things out.
[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_00]: And their thing is, like, we want you to listen and take away,
[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_00]: like, one or two things that are going to help you grow your agency.
[00:24:44] [SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of like ours.
[00:24:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Like, we're trying to like provide some value there.
[00:24:47] [SPEAKER_00]: So, um, just the number one for me in terms of who I'll go to and listen
[00:24:54] [SPEAKER_00]: the most.
[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Like, we can get Scott on one day.
[00:24:57] [SPEAKER_00]: I would love it.
[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_02]: It will do well.
[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_00]: And if you listen, so my favorite part is the first, like,
[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_00]: 30 seconds of their podcast.
[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_00]: And he's, you know, I mean, he's like, you know,
[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's like, you know, I can only imagine, like,
[00:25:11] [SPEAKER_00]: like, it's like, it really like in the basement, like watching a football game.
[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, um, so I'm going to reach out to maybe at one point and get him on.
[00:25:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Cause he's on.
[00:25:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_02]: That would be cool.
[00:25:25] [SPEAKER_02]: And also, one last tip about insurance guys when we had Bradley on,
[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_02]: he was the guy when we interviewed him.
[00:25:30] [SPEAKER_02]: He said, he was, he was telling us like,
[00:25:33] [SPEAKER_02]: it's about consistency.
[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_02]: And it's about volume.
[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, never stop podcasting.
[00:25:39] [SPEAKER_02]: That's rule number one.
[00:25:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Keep it going.
[00:25:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Be consistent.
[00:25:41] [SPEAKER_02]: But two, once you build up your volume,
[00:25:45] [SPEAKER_02]: you know, then it turns into more of a snowball from there.
[00:25:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Cause people are going back to content from like a year, years ago,
[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_02]: like as you're saying, they've been around for a while.
[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_02]: And the other really awesome stat that he gave us that we're really hanging our hats on
[00:25:57] [SPEAKER_02]: was that only 1% of podcasts in this,
[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_02]: maybe true this may be more broad, or maybe it's different now.
[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_02]: 1% of podcasts have 50 episodes more.
[00:26:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[00:26:10] [SPEAKER_02]: And the other 99% of podcasts, less than 50 episodes.
[00:26:15] [SPEAKER_02]: It's the consistency thing people just stop for whatever reason.
[00:26:18] [SPEAKER_00]: And here's another one.
[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Ryan Hamley, if you saw this online,
[00:26:23] [SPEAKER_00]: just posted that he's going to be like a weekly visitor.
[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_00]: I did see that into these.
[00:26:30] [SPEAKER_02]: He was another one of our guests.
[00:26:32] [SPEAKER_00]: And he provides a ton of value.
[00:26:35] [SPEAKER_00]: And his thing is going to be like hot takes.
[00:26:37] [SPEAKER_00]: And it's going to be opinions.
[00:26:39] [SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's going to be a great kind of combination.
[00:26:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Would you really know the cool kids insurance?
[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_00]: It's shocking from a distance, maybe.
[00:26:50] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, like I wouldn't have guessed an observer.
[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, admire.
[00:26:56] Yeah.
[00:26:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, which will.
[00:26:58] [SPEAKER_02]: All right, guys.
[00:26:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, you just witnessed our first top three app.
